The New York Daily News found that there are widespread elevator malfunctions in City public housing.
The investigation was spurred by the unfortunate death of five year child who tried to jump from a stuck elevator in the Taylor Wyeth Houses in Brooklyn.
As an aside, through the years we have had many clients approach us when New York City Housing Authority elevators have failed. Often, these tenants had to use stairs which were littered with all sorts of unsavory matter.
We have also handled many elevator cases. If you have had an elevator accident, please feel free to call us 800-581-1434.
