A Banker Cannot Be Too Careful

In the view of todays’ economic troubles in the banking and financial industries, a film quote came to mind.

In the Preston Sturges 1940’s film, The Miracle of Morgan’s Creek, the banker of the small town gave the following advice to his teller:

“A banker is like a man walking a tightrope across Niagrara Falls;  he cannot be too careful.”

I guess that today’s bankers never saw that film.
